CHARACTER BIOGRAPHIES - Son Goku
His real name is Kakarot, this was discovered from his brother Radditz at the same time he learned that he was a Saiyajin. Goku is not only a great warrior, but also he is a great leader. Throughout the entire series he has improved his skill and inspired the Z warriors to follow in his footsteps this includes even Vegita, but especially his son Gohan.
Gokus greatest challenge come when future Trunks come back in time to warn the Z warriors of Dr.Geros evil android creations, but instead of getting to Dr.Gero first, he prepares for the arrival of the androids. When the androids appear there is a slight setback, Goku's battle with android #19
brings the rare heart disease he has out with a vengence and it nearly takes him out, but luckily future Trunks brought the antidote back and he was able to survive. After this episode Goku realise that he must go above just super saiyan, he knows he must be as strong as possible to beat the androids #17 and #18 but he doesn't realise there is an even greater danger, the insidious android Cell. When Goku finds out about Cell he reveals that he will spend a day (which in the time chamber is the equivilent to a year) in the 'Hyperbolic Time chamber' located at Kami's place. He also tells Vegeta about this and so Vegita and Trunks, go in and then Goku and Gohan do, when each come out they are the strongest they have ever been. But when Goku and Gohan come out they are really different they have managed to reach saiya-jin full power which means they can stay super saiyan saiyan without depleating or using there energy up. Which puts Goku with a high chance of defeating Cell. Piccalo eventually goes in the time chamber aswell and then Vegita goes in again, but neither come out as powerful as Goku or Gohan for that matter.

Piccalo, Future Trunks, Tien & Vegita

PICCALO
Piccalo is my favourite character, he is always wise in the decisions he makes and cares a great deal for his friends (plus he's green and that tops it off)
Piccalo is the offspring of Daimon (who was as you should know 'pure evil') and when Daimon was destroyed by Goku, Daimon vowed that Piccalo would avenge his death, so when Piccalo hatches from his egg he is not pure evil but he is different because his sole perpose is destroying Goku. They first meet at a tournement, The Budokai.
As I said Piccalo was hell bent on destroying Goku, but as it happens a series of events causes him to become the unwilling partner of Goku in the fight against Radditz, in which together they defeated him (with a littl help from Gohan). After they had defeated Radditz, Piccalo found out that 2 more Saiyajin would avenge Radditz destruction, so he volunteers to train Gokus son Gohan and with Piccalos help, Gohan learnt to control his power and became emensly powerful.
The time that Piccalo spent with Gohan made Piccalo begin to care a great deal for Gohan and this changed Piccalo and he ends up becoming friends with Goku aswell. This care for Gohan is shown often throughout the Freeza and Cell saga's and continues throughout the Buu saga.


TIEN
Tien is a human warrior, who trains throughout the Dragonball and DragonballZ series with his friend Chaozu.to become more powerful. Tien is often jealous of the saiyan's power and tries to compete with Goku and the other saiyans until at the end of the Buu saga he realises he too weak to fight and from then has a quiet role to play for the Dragonball series as he remains in the background. He has a problen with Vegita (who doesnt of the Z warriors) for getting him killed in the biginning of dragonballZ


FUTURE TRUNKS
Future Trunks is from 20 years in the future and comes back in time to try and alter the time line of events that has killed everyone that he loved and cared for, at the hands of androids #18 and #17. Trunks is the son of Bulma and Vegita and first appears in DragonballZ as he returns to give Goku the antidote for the rare heart disease he has. He reappears after going back to the future 3 years later when he comes back to destroy #18 and #17 in the past so they dont destroy the world again and everyone he loves, but soon learns this is not possible because there is more than one future and he cannot alter his. In the time that he spends in the past he learns that there is somekind of evil threat thats even more dangerous than the 2 androids that destroyed his time and they must find it. If you havent figured by this point this is Cell, who is Dr.Gero's ultimate creation and even stronger than androids #18 and #17. When Cell finally introduces himself he tells the Z warroirs he destroyed Trunks of his timeline and used the time machine to come here as the 2 androids in his time had been destroyed by Trunks and he came to absorb theres to get to ful strength.
Trunks stays in the past and helps the Z warriors and become very strong through using the time chamber, so he can fight Cell, he manges to reach ascended Saiya-jin but it still prove futile against Cell in perfect form.


VEGITA
Vegita is the son of King Vegita, makes Vegita the Prince of Saiyans. Vegeta is one of the most powerful Saiyans and was originally in the service of Freeza, with his follower's, Nappa and Radditz. After Radditz was destroyed be Goku, Vegeta comes to earth accompanied by Nappa in search of the Dragonballs, but instead was stopped in his tracks by Goku. Vegeta managed to escape and return to Freeza's base where he was healed and after finding out that Freeza had gone in search of the Dragonballs went to try and find them before he did. Vegita meets his attempt of overthrow with powerful oposition and had no choice but to join Gohan, Krillin and Goku int there fight against Freeza.
In the battle with Freeza he is killed and later brought back to life using the power of the Dragonballs. He marries Bulma and has a son, Trunks, and even joins the Z warriors even though he remains an outsider in the group. Vegita never loses his Saiyan pride but still cant understand how Goku is so powerful and is very jealous but at the same time inspired by Goku to keep trying to increase his power. Later on in GT he turns to Golden Oozaru trapped in Bebi and with a little help from Bulma goes to SSJ 4.
